I’ve just received my copy of the second season of My Name Is Earl from Amazon. If you haven’t been watching this program on Channel 4 you’ve really missed out.
Earl was a petty criminal until he discovered Karma. Now he is trying to make up for all of the bad things he did.
Season 2 has a long-running storyline throughout; Earl’s ex-wife, Joy, is facing prison after her “third-strike”. Her lawyer is the beautiful Marlee Matlin who I first saw on Picket Fences. Incidentally, now that Picket Fences is finally being released on DVD I must get a copy. Hopefully it will be as good as I remember.
I didn’t think season 2 of My Name Is Earl was as good as the first one although it was still very watchable. There were a number of “filler” episodes, but the last one was superb. I can’t wait for season three to begin in the UK later this year.
