My Programming Career

BBC Telesoftware

Whilst I was still in secondary school I sold a couple of programs to the BBC's Telesoftware service. These programs could be downloaded by anyone who had a teletext adaptor for their home computer.

I also sold three programs to RISC User magazine. These programs were printed in the magazine for readers to type in.

UEA I studied for a BSc in Applied Computing at the University of East Anglia.
Computer Concepts

My first job was at Computer Concepts. I worked on the Impression series of desktop publishing programs.

Later I moved to Xara, CC’s sister company. I was a developer on the drawing program that became CorelXara.

Xitec Software I spent a year working for Xitec Software working on a suite of programs designed to help businesses with ICL mainframe computers solve their Y2K problems.
Intrinsica Intrinsica has been the longest job of my career so far. I spent 8 years working in a variety of software development roles.
RESI have worked at Renewable Energy Systems since July 2006. I have recently been appointed Software Development Manager.
